First Night Rockford is JUMPIN”! Rockford’s premier New Year’s Eve celebration, First Night, recently unveiled its new Web site. Located at www.firstnightrockford.com, the site is the most up-to-the-minute resource for programming, event information and admission button purchase locations. The site also includes information about each performance group, the Children’s Festival and First Night Rockford locations in downtown Rockford.

The Web site was created by Liz Nelson of DesignOne, a local graphic and Web design service.

Rockford Health System is the primary sponsor for the local celebration that draws between 8,000 and 10,000 participants.

Headlining acts include: Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, Billy Siegenfeld, artistic director; Superchic(k) and Jake, both Christian performers; and Mission IMPROVable, presenting fast-paced comedy and theater games. Local favorites include: Gardenia Big Band; Rockford Dance Company’s Without Shoes Modern Dance Company; Rockford Symphony Orchestra String Orchestra; Swing Productions, Dan Voll Combo Loco and many more.
