In an effort to encourage facade improvements and rehabilitation projects within its new Main Street boundaries, the River District Association invited guest speaker Anthony Rubano from the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency to discuss services, incentives and resources for historic preservation projects.
The free workshop will be at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, on the second floor of Memorial Hall, 211 N. Main St.
Rubano has been a project designer at the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency since October 1999. He has worked extensively with the Illinois Main Street Program within IHPA, and provides architectural services to more than 60 historic Main Street communities throughout the state.
