Freeport’s Cimino’s hosts Italian Fest July 8

If you’re looking for something different to do Saturday, July 8, consider heading to Freeport for Cimino’s Italian Fest.

The Fest will feature plenty to do, see and eat, as Sam Cimino’s crew hosts a day of outdoor activities that kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with live entertainment from local bands and ending with Newport Project kickin’ it from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

You can meet one of the Budweiser Clydesdales up close and personal, be mesmerized by a local magician or flush a local dignitary in the Pretzel City flush tank.

Outdoor cuisine will abound—from brats and Italian sausage (of course), to ribs and corn, to chicken and beef sandwiches, to hot dogs and chips. And for, traditional Italian, the regular menu will be available inside.

Make tracks to Freeport early to see the Budweiser Clydesdales get hitched at Tutty’s Crossing (downtown by the railroad tracks) before the downtown parade at 1 p.m.
