From press release

Friday, April 27, from noon to 1 p.m., the Friday Forum at Second Congregational United Church of Christ will focus on the war in Iraq. John DeWaters, an accountant and small business owner, Ald. Doug Mark and the Rev. Mike Solberg of Second Congregational United Church of Christ will offer their thoughts how we should leave Iraq. The conversation can be thought of like this: “A politician, a theologian, and a businessman are stuck on an elevator and begin to discuss the war…”

Friday Forum is a monthly, community-oriented program of Second Congregational Church, aimed at engaging all members of the Rockford community in issues that matter to us all. Previous speakers have included Chief of Police Chet Epperson, Crusader Clinic CEO Gordon Eggers Jr., and Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey.

The event is free and open to the public. It takes place in Gordon Chapel (entrance off Church Street).
