Girl Scouts volunteers needed

Girl Scouts volunteers needed

Volunteers, ages 18 and older, are needed to help lead Girl Scout troops in the Rock River Valley community. Professional women and men are needed to give real-world advice, help build confidence, and learn as much from the girls as they will from you. Moms and dads of all types are needed to lead girls in the right direction, show them the world, and help them become great role models for tomorrow’s generations. Older adults are needed to give years of experience to today’s girls, help history come alive, and make friends who will always remember you as a guiding force in their life.

Girl Scouts—Rock River Valley Council knows there are as many different troop leaders as their Girl Scout troops. Do you like the spirit and enthusiasm of younger girls? Then, A Daisy Girl Scout Troop would be a great level to start on. Maybe helping girls plan events and being involved in community service projects is your talent. A Brownie Girl Scout Troop would love having you as a leader. Tired of seeing girls who think they have to have a certain attitude or body image to be popular? Help a Junior Girl Scout Troop explore what it means to be proud of who they really are, inside and out. Cadette and Senior Girl Scout troops need leaders who will help them stay in school, build their resumes, and interview for colleges and real-world jobs. You could be that person.

For more information, please contact Robin Henning at 962-5591, ext. 138. Girl Scouts—Rock River Valley Council will provide you with the training and materials to be a leader—but you provide the enthusiasm, spirit and inspiration to be a great leader. Call today!
