Womanspace Center will host the 12th annual Womens Golf Play Day Monday, June 12, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
Participants will enjoy 18 holes, with a cart, at Aldeen Golf Club, plus a substantial luncheon at Angelos Restaurant in nearby Brynwood Square on Mulford, just north of Spring Creek.
Registration of $80 per person is due June 1, and includes lunch. Foursomes are encouraged to register together by calling 815-877-0118 or e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Non-golfers may attend the lunch for $15. There will be a program and an awards presentation at the luncheon.
Talented golfers are encouraged to play competitively, but golfers of all abilities will enjoy a round of golf, fabulous food, the company of other women, the great outdoors and the spirit that is Womanspace.
Womanspace Center was founded in Rockford in 1975 and incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 1977. The mission of this interfaith center is to enrich lives, inspiring creativity, well-being and spiritual growth.
Womanspace offers many programs open to the community, including a variety of art classes. Womanspace owns and stewards a 7-acre campus in northeast Rockford, including two buildings, several gardens and an outdoor 11-circuit Chartres-style labyrinth.
The Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors in cooperation with co-directors and founders Dorothy Bock and Elaine Hirschenberger. Nine consultants assist Womanspace with their specialized expertise.
