Gateway Intergenerational Resource Center, a program of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI), will host Gospel Jamboree, a musical event at the Tebala Shrine Temple, 7910 Newburg Rd., Rockford, from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10. The event includes performances by local church choirs and features talent of all ages.
Churches scheduled to perform are Zion Lutheran Church, St. Paul Church of God in Christ, First Hispanic Church of God, Grace Lutheran Church, St. Lukes Missionary Baptist Church, Light of the World Ministries, House of Grace, and Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Tickets are $10 and are available at the performing churches and at Gateway Intergenerational Resource Center.
Established for the youth of yesterday and the senior of tomorrow, Gateway Intergenerational Resource Center provides education and health care, as well as psychological, emotional and spiritual resources for youth and older adults. Gateway is at 615 S. Fifth St. in Rockford.
