For everything you do, there’s a green choice that’s good for you AND the environment. Here, you’ll find information about how people, companies and organizations are embracing “GREEN TECHNOLOGY” and discovering environmentally responsible alternatives to older technology.

So you’ve broken down all the cardboard boxes and put all the holiday papers in the recycling bins, right? Have you taken all the peanuts and bubble wrap to your local pack and ship place so they can reuse them? Are you wondering what else you could put on your 2007 “GREEN” agenda?

Here are just a couple of ideas:

If you aren’t using the recycling container from your waste hauler, 2007 is a good time to start. Train yourself and your family members while you are all BORED after the holidays! You could make a game out of it and offer rewards for when somebody remembers to use the recycling container properly (or fun punishments when they don’t). Help them learn how to make less garbage and send more materials for recycling! Making it a part of their education is a great idea, and you can prove you can teach an old dog new tricks (YOU!).

Ready to tackle something else? Take a look at the cleaning supplies you use and see if you can discover “greener” choices. Don’t forget to look at the laundry soap (and recycle that box or plastic bottle your current brand came in!). It might seem a little thing, but the cardboard from the paper towels and toilet paper is, after all, just cardboard and can go in the recycling box or be (re)used to start your next fire in the fireplace.

Even the little things count on the road to becoming greener and saving our environment!
