Find your favorite pair of shoes and your closest group of friends and come downtown to the River District on Saturday, May 11, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. for the 4th annual Groove Walk! A music walk throughout the River District, Groove Walk will feature a record number of 13 hot spots, as they each host a local award-winning Best of Rockford and/or RAMI-nominated band.

Walk from each establishment or ride the RMTD Trolley and enjoy a night of oldies, classic rock, funk/R&B, folk, acoustic rock, jazz, blues and contemporary. Produced by On The Waterfront, Inc. and River District, Groove Walk is sponsored by the Rockford Register Star, 97ZOK, MedicineMan, Inc., Budweiser, FOX 39 and RMTD. In addition, a portion of the proceeds benefit the RAMI’s Gary Wilmer Scholarship Fund. Patrons can also vote for their favorite performer to win the “People’s Choice” Best of Rockford award and a time slot at the 2002 On The Waterfront Festival.
