Stateline Macintosh Users Group (SMUG) was formed in 1986 to allow Mac operating system users to network with one another. This year SMUG has more than100 members helping one another. SMUG also maintains a Web site, a helpline and a training video library. An annual raffle funds their activities.
Meetings feature a Q & A session, camaraderie, humor, latebreaking OS news, application demos and tutorials. The general SMUG meeting is on every fourth Tuesday of every month but December at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Additional special interest group meetings focusing on graphics and video meet separately.
