Help local firefighters rescue a pet

A fund has been established to raise donations to purchase sets of “pet recovery oxygen masks” for all fire departments and rescue vehicles in Winnebago and Boone counties.

These “pet oxygen masks” are specifically designed to aid local firefighters with the proper rescue equipment, to help resuscitate a beloved family pet, in the event of a house fire. Each set costs $55 per set.

To equip all the fire departments and rescue vehicles in Winnebago and Boone counties, 115 sets of masks are needed. The cost is $6,500.

An account has been opened at: National City Bank, 120 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61101.

If you would like to donate to this fund, please make your check payable to “Breath of Life” Pet Recovery Fund. Mail checks to National City Bank at the above address.
