STERLING, Ill.The transformation of the old Ponderosa Restaurant building is nearing completion as the staff of the Herb Cellar prepares for their move over Memorial Day weekend.
The new Herb Cellar Natural Market and Organic Bite Deli will be open for business Tuesday, May 29, at 3106 E. Lincolnway, Sterling, Ill. The building is just east of Northland Mall.
The place is bustling with builders giving it a fresh, new look, as the deli equipment waits patiently by the front entry for its permanent new spot. Their new deli and café will offer a Starbucks-type organic coffee menu, organic breakfast and lunch items, free internet, and a retro Berkeley coffeehouse ambiance.
The deli will serve organic sandwiches, soups, salads, pizzas, side dishes, fresh juices and smoothies. For those eating on the run, a drive-through window will be available. The new facility, boasting more than 6000 square feet and becoming one of the areas largest health food stores, offers a greatly expanded selection of health foods, supplements, skin care, make-up, personal care products, oils, books, and a much-in-demand new line of organic produce. The present location at 8 E. Third St. will be closed May 26-May 28 for the move. (A large grand opening celebration is scheduled for July.) So stop by the new location, grab a latte or a healthy lunch, and check out the selection of health products. For more information, go to http://herbcellar.blogspot.com.
