Hollywood Revisited fund-raiser June 2 at Coronado

Enjoy an exciting fund-raiser called Hollywood Revisited—A Tribute in Costume & Song, at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at the Coronado Theatre in downtown Rockford. This event is hosted by Total Health Awareness Team, and the proceeds will support continued fixed site and mobile HIV/Hepatitis prevention services for the Rock River Valley.

Remember the golden age of Hollywood films? We all have a memory (or two) of our first viewing of The Wizard of Oz. Who hasn’t cried along with Joan Crawford in Mildred Pierce? Or quoted lines from Gone With the Wind? Who doesn’t love the Technicolor world of Hollywood? This June 2, tinsel town is coming to the Rock River Valley!

For one night only, the nationally-renowned production of Hollywood Revisited—A Tribute in Costume & Song will bring some of the glitz and glamour that is Hollywood to our city. Feel like a movie star; walk the red carpet; put on the Ritz, and go back in time at the beautiful Coronado Theatre while Freeport native Greg Schreiner heads up a talented cast, including Miss Freeport 2003 Michelle Maves, taking everyone back to a time and place when life was as big as a Cecil B. DeMille production!

This is a widely popular show, created by local Rockfordian Greg Schreiner. With a faithful troupe of followers, both locally and across the nation, this is an opportunity not to be missed. As quoted by the Los Angeles Times, this is sure to be “a chance to see the magic of old Hollywood come to life.” For more information, see the Web site at www.hollywoodrevisited.com.
