Home Buyer’s Fair April 17

The Rockford Area Affordable Housing Coalition will present the 8th Annual Home Buyer’s Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 17 in Rockford City Hall, 425 E. State St. Admission is free.

Learn how affordable owning a home can be. The Home Buyer’s Fair is an event to raise awareness of home ownership opportunities for first-time home buyers. It is a collaborative venture to provide information about home ownership opportunities and other affordable housing options within the greater Rockford area. The goal is to help first-time buyers make their vision of owning a home a reality.

Visit with mortgage lenders, Realtors, and talk to the City of Rockford and not-for-profit organizations about their housing opportunities.

Workshops available: Steps to Purchasing A Home, Understanding Credit, Standard Financing Options, City of Rockford Programs and Rockford Housing Authority Programs, Appraisals/Home Inspections, Insuring Your Home and Loan, Closing & Beyond, Technology/Researching.

The facility is wheelchair accessible. Bilingual and hearing-impaired interpreting services are available upon request. Please make requests no later than April 14.
