The Arc of Winnebago, Boone & Ogle Counties 15th Annual Great Home Giveaway fund-raiser kicks off and opens its doors to the public this Saturday, July 14.

This years grand prize is once again built by Howlett Homes and is at 1822 Grandchester Place in the Leeland Place subdivision, Rockford (just off Rote Road between Perryville and Bell School Road).

After the Parade of One ends July 22, the house will be open every Saturday and Sunday until the Oct. 11 drawing from noon to 4 p.m.
The Home Giveaway continues to be a popular event in the area, said Lisa Bartholme, event coordinator. Purchasers each have their own ideas of what to do with the house if they winsell and pocket the cash, move in and enjoy, rent and earn extra income, or give away and make someones day. Our winners have done all of those, she added.
The Arc continues to rely on the generosity of its sponsors and supporters. This years Foundation Sponsors are WTVO-17, Howlett Homes, Benson Stone Co., Associated Bank and Gustafsons Furniture (who have beautifully decorated the house). In addition to these top sponsors, dozens of subcontractors and suppliers have donated their time and material to make this event successful.
