Fittingly , Memorial Hall was the place to be last weekend for another successful and wonderful Hometown Holiday show with a real cast of talented characters. From left to right: Randy Sabien, Daniel Sullivan, Megon McDonough, Nate Braddock (Sabien’s nephew), Linda Abronski, Jim Sullivan and Shawn Wallace. Some highlights: Sabin and Braddock gave fire and the soft touch via the violin, mandolin and guitar to back McDonough and Sullivan, as well as presenting Tchaikovsky; Abronski was a riot as a whiskey-swilling, TV fruitcake-maker; McDonough channeled Patsy Kline with amazing range; Wallace dedicated “Santa Baby” to a gal in a recent audience in thigh-high red leather boots; Danny spun the biggest laugh with a tale about how the angel was “placed” on top of the Christmas tree, and Jim gave one of his best monologues ever—oh, Joanne! If you don’t quite grasp these references, you didn’t grasp your tickets for the show. Too bad! Go next year. Be there, thanks to all the folks of Charlotte’s Web.

OK, you can still hear the show on WNIJ 98.5 FM, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, and 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day).

Also, we have posted Jim’s monologue on our Web site, in our “Online Exclusives” section. It’s a great read, and our posting is a refined version sent to us by Jim from New York. If you were at the show, take a look, and see what he changed.
