The Illinois Division of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Insurance (IDFPR) will be in Rockford Sept. 20 to assist citizens affected by the Labor Day flood with questions regarding their homeowners, flood, rental and car insurance policies.
The Illinois Division of Insurance will have staff available from 4 to 7 p.m., and if needed, on the morning of Sept. 21, to assist policy holders in understanding their policies and offering advice about how to work with their insurance companies.
This is an ongoing effort by the city and the state to provide citizens impacted by the Labor Day flood with all available information and resources to help them get their houses and lives back in order, said Mayor Larry Morrissey.
Citizens interested in obtaining assistance from the Illinois Division of Insurance should go to the City of Rockford Human Services Department at 612 N. Church St. any time between 4 to 7 p.m.
