Illinois’ largest fishing & hunting show

Saturday, Feb. 7, is the date for this year’s eighth annual Rockford Fishing & Hunting collectible show, held this year at Teamster Local 325 Hall. This event has become the highest attended and longest-running show of its kind in Illinois. It has sold out in each of its eight years of existence, and attendance has steadily grown to more than 500 people.

The show features museum-quality displays of Rockford-made lures. Free appraisals of lures are the highlight of this show; also offered are free auctions throughout the day for people wishing to sell their old tackle. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $3–children 12 and younger admitted free. New this year, breakfast and lunch will be available.

Teamsters’ Hall is at 5533 11th St., Rockford (on the 251 service drive). This show is a “buy-sell-trade” event with all types of fishing- and hunting-related items. There will be something for everyone in all price ranges. So dig out your old tackle boxes and bring them down to the show. You may have a small fortune and not even know it!
