Illinois Renewable Energy Fair set for Aug. 10-11

OREGON, IL—Discover the world of renewable energy at the first Illinois Renewable Energy Fair, Aug. 10-11, 2002, to be held at the Ogle County Fairgrounds. The Fair, sponsored by the Illinois Renewable Energy Association, a nonprofit organization, invites interested vendors, educators, volunteers and sponsors to apply for participation.

Successful renewable energy innovations for business and home use will be presented. Renewable energy workshops and displays will demonstrate electricity production and storage. The latest technology in heating and transportation fuels will be highlighted.

The IREA seeks to add presenters, workshops and displays of equipment and services. If you have ideas on renewable energy topics, please contact Bob or Sonia Vogl at or (815) 732-7332.

The purpose of the Fair is to provide information on renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and comparable lifestyles, and build support for incorporating them into daily life—plus opportunities for developing a network of people who are interested in using renewable energy and those who offer products and services. Advocates place a high priority on protection of natural resources and the reduction of pollution in Illinois’ precious water, soil and air.
