The Illinois State Archaeological Society will present its Sixth Annual Prehistoric Indian Artifact Show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6 at the Ramada Suites Conference Center, 200 S. Bell School Rd.
The ISAS is a nonprofit organization that endeavors to develop a better understanding among students and collectors of archaeological materials, professional and nonprofessional, as well as museums and institutions of higher learning, and to further understanding by providing a means to publish articles of interest to both professional and amateur archaeologists.
The show will display more than 60 Native American artifact collections from around the area for view by the public free of charge. Jim Arco will be available for the public to bring in any of their Native American artifacts for a free evaluation and appraisal.
Awards will be presented to the displaying members for Best Educational, Best of Show, and Awards of Excellence for displays.
