Individuals needed for heart study

Swedish American’s Center for Complementary Medicine is conducting a research study that is looking at what effects changing lifestyle has on heart disease. The Center is seeking individuals who have had a heart attack bypass surgery, angioplasty or stent, or an angiogram where heart artery narrowing has been detected during the past 12 months.

Individuals who meet selection criteria will be randomly placed into a traditional cardiac rehabilitation program or the Dr. Dean Ornish Reversing Heart Disease Program and followed for one year. There is no charge for participation.
