Inspiration Sensation auditions Feb. 23

In its fourth season, Total Living Network (TLN) TV51’s Inspiration Sensation will be headed back to Rockford looking for the best young Rockford-area singers, ages 16-26, who think they have what it takes to compete in this competition and be the next big voice in Christian music.

Doors to the Rockford audition open at 4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at The Community at First Assembly of God Church, 5950 Spring Creek Rd. Auditions run 5:30-9 p.m. Contestants must be checked in by 7:30 p.m.

This year, contestants will audition in a private room in front of three judges. Contestants will be asked to sing a Capella from an approved list of songs. The best contestants will be called back to a semifinal round. Winners of the semifinals will move on to compete weekly on live television from TLN’s corporate studios in Aurora.

Each week, the audience will vote for its favorite contestant and one singer will be sent home. By the end, one contestant will be crowned “Inspiration Sensation 2007.”

The 2006 fourth runner-up was Freeport’s Quynnetta Sanders. The 2005 winner was Rockford’s Stephanie Goldsmith.
