Internet campaign against war

Internet campaign against war

Editor’s note: An internet campaign against war with Iraq is making the rounds on the World Wide Web. The following is the text of that campaign:

President Bush and his administration are planning a war against Iraq. If you do not want this war, or even if you are just a little bit unsure, you need to make your voice heard!!

This is not a time to be neutral; silence implies consent.

“But what can I do?” you ask. There is a massive postcard campaign going on right now; all you need to do is spend 2 minutes of your time and 23 cents on a postcard stamp. State your concerns or just say NO to war! The target date for mailing them out is August 15th, so that we will have maximum impact. Please forward this to everyone you know and ask people to get some postcards out before the end of this week. Please be part of this; there is strength in numbers.

Keep the postcards coming, and continue to inform all of your elected representatives of your opinions. That’s what they’re paid for!!

Mail postcards to: President George W. Bush, The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20500.
