Introducing Ann Larson–new general manager for Centre Events
The Authority Board, Rockford Mayor Doug Scott, Winnebago County Chairman Kris Cohn, Loves Park Mayor Darryl F. Lindberg and Centre Events staff, welcome Ann Larson to Centre Events. After an extensive search of many qualified and fine candidates, Larson has accepted the invitation to come on board as the new general manager of MetroCentre, Davis Park and Coronado Theatre. Her outstanding qualifications made her our number one choice, and we feel very fortunate to have her join and lead the Centre Events staff, said Gary L. Marzorati, Authority board chairman.
Ann Larson is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a masters of arts in Communication Studies. Larson has also completed Public Assembly Facility Management School in West Virginia and the Senior Executive Management Program in New York. Larson will be relocating from Dallas, Texas and leaving her position as the vice president/general manager of the Reunion Arena. Having worked as the general manager and the assistant athletic director of facilities and events in Madison, Wis. and executive director of the Five Seasons Center and Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she is more than familiar with the markets of the Midwest.
Larsons hands-on executive accomplishments in all aspects of facility management will make for an exciting future for Rockford and Centre Events. Larson will begin her new position on Feb. 11.
