Country music star Brad Paisley performed at the Coronado Theatre Oct. 15. Special guest was American Idol 2 star Josh Gracin. Paisley’s current single “Whiskey Lullaby” (featuring Illinois’ Alison Krauss of Alison Krauss and the Union Station) remains a big hit on the Billboard Country Singles chart. Paisley is on tour promoting his latest album, Mud on the Tires, released in July 2003. The album remains on Billboard’s Top 40 chart. The first single from the album, “Celebrity,” expresses Paisley’s new-found status following the success of his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, released in 1999. “’Cause when you’re a celebrity, it’s adios reality, You can act just like a fool, People think you’re cool, Just ’cause you’re on TV,” Paisley sings in “Celebrity.” Next up for CentreEvents is pianist Lang Lang Oct. 26.
