Rockfords Moonlight Jazz Orchestra returns for Jazz in January, an evening of music, dancing, food and fun, on Saturday evening, Jan. 24, at Keith School, 1 Jacoby Place, Rockford.
Founded in 1974, the Moonlight Jazz Orchestra is an 18-piece big band that has long been a favorite at public festivals and concerts as well as private parties. The group consists of full horn and rhythm sections performing hits from the 40s to oldies to todays music. Director is Curt Peterson. The bands Keith School debut was at Moonlight Jazz on the Lawn last September.
Reservations for Jazz in January are $25 per person or $45 per couple and include hearty hors doeuvres and dessert. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the band will play from 7 to 10 p.m.
