Singer/songwriter/author brings wild imagination to Discovery Center March 31 and April 1
Rockford native and professional singer/songwriter/author Jim Gill will showcase his musical talents and wild imagination during his Family Room Tour concert Saturday, March 31, and Sunday, April 1, at Discovery Center Museum.
Gill bangs out energetic rhythms on his banjo while young and old alike sing, dance, sneeze and even stick together like glue.
Gill features songs from his multiple recordings of music for young children. According to Gill: During the best concerts, the children are watching and playing along with the adults in the audience as much as they are watching me. I lead the games, but the children are most likely to remember the joy of their family play.
Gills recordings of music play have earned him numerous awards, including Parents Choice Awards. His concerts are filled with imaginative songs and play activities such as Mashed Potatoes, The Sneezing Song and Spaghetti Legs fun for the whole family!
Both the March 31 and April 1 shows are at 2 p.m., and concert admission is $4 for the general public and $2 for Discovery Center members. Admission to Discovery Center is separate$5 for adults and $4 for children ages 2-17. Children younger than 2 and members are free.
