The final KinderKonzert of the season is at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 22, at the Coronado Theatre.
Back-to-Back Beethoven features Rockford actor Bern Sundstedt portraying Beethoven, giving a narrative of his life as introductions to several of his most influential compositions.
Beethoven will share with concert-goers important moments in his life, from his musical education; his revolutionary spirit and desire to instigate societal change; how his deafness influences his ability to perform and compose; and the heroes who inspired his compositions.
Tickets for this concert are available by calling the RSO Box Office at (815) 965-0049, or at www.rockfordsymphony.com. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children younger than 12.
Immediately following the concert is the RSO On Stage event, from 4-5 p.m. On Stage offers an additional opportunity to learn more about the orchestra and the concert experience. The On Stage activity for the April 22 KinderKonzert is a Meet the Musician. Children will have an opportunity to go on stage, enjoy refreshments, and talk with the RSO musicians. Always a popular event, On Stage tickets are also sold through the RSO Box Office in advance for $3 per child. Some tickets may be available on the day of the concert, but space is limited.
