Season kicks off Oct. 3 with Salute to the German Composers at the Egyptian Theatre
DeKalbThe Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra (KSO) with music director and conductor Linc Smelser, is pleased to announce the line up for the 27th season of Making a Difference through Music.
Fliers for the 27th season were mailed within the month of June and included an opportunity to purchase season tickets that will add an extra ticket for season ticket holders to pass on to a friend to be used at the opening concert of Oct. 3, 2004.
This opportunity is part of the KSOs Bring a Friend campaign. Season ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance, at a discounted rate, and will receive a free ticket to give to a student, a friend, a family member, or a patron of the arts.
The KSOs 27th season will kick off at the Egyptian Theatre with a Salute to the German Composers, on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. The success of the Holiday Pops concert from last season has prompted Linc and the KSO to include Holiday Pops II to be held on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The balance of the 27th season will feature the KSO at the Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., DeKalb, on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at 2 p.m., and the annual Arthur D. Montzka Young Artists Concerto Competition Concert scheduled for Sunday May 1, 2005, at 2 p.m.

The KSO is a not-for-profit community orchestra that provides an opportunity for area musicians to utilize their talents in an orchestral setting.
