Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden’s Winter Woods Walks

Experience the wonders and seasonal beauty of Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden at Klehm’s annual “Winter Woods Walk” every Saturday in February! Enjoy the glistening snow-covered evergreens, the textured barks of deciduous trees and the panoramic winter views from the Look-out Tower.

Take a self-guided tour showcasing the many rare species of spruce, fir and pine as you leisurely stroll the 1.8-mile paved path through the “heart” of the arboretum.

You can participate in the “Winter Scavenger Hunt” and adventure into the untamed outback on one of the many chipped trails for a chance encounter with the abundant winter wildlife. Then, warm up in the Visitors Center “Lobby Lodge” with complimentary hot beverages and treats and view the gallery art exhibit or see what’s new in the Flowering Magnolia Gift Shop.

Admission is free for the entire family to Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden’s “Winter Woods Walks,” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24. For more information, call 815-965-8146 or visit www.klehm.org.
