Klehm hosts garden lover's paradise

Twelve years of successful Garden Fair Extravaganzas will be celebrated during this year’s event from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5. The garden lover’s outdoor marketplace is held on the grounds of Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 2701 Clifton Ave., Rockford.

More than 80 vendors will be on hand selling a larger variety of items than ever.

A partial listing of items set for this year include: high-quality perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs, roses, iris, hostas, daylilies, antiques, barn wood creations; hanging baskets, nature Botanicals, willow furniture, water gardens, aquatic plants and fish, iron garden gates and antique watering cans, unique birdhouse creations, concrete benches, bird baths, metal garden sculptures, a wide assortment of gourmet edibles, and much, much more.

Klehm’s Garden Fair Extravaganza has become known regionally for the quality and diversity of items available.

This family-friendly event will feature Klehm Kids—Hands on Fun, filled with free “Make & Take” activities for children 12 and younger. The Outdoor Kitchen will present cooking demos from local and regional chefs. They will show off their tips and tricks as they prepare sumptuous recipes, which attendees get to sample. A large concession area is available offering grilled sandwiches, icy beverages, desserts and more.
