Friday, Sept. 21, La Voz Latina will host the Salsa Chicago Mambo All-Stars Orchestra at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center for the agencys annual banquet, themed Passport to the Americas: A Journey Into Latin Culture. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The unique cultural event features an eclectic Central and South American dinner from countries such as Brazil, Cuba, Mexico and Peru, just to name a few. The evening will also include Andean music from Luz de Ande, and a tango performance by Argentine native and Rockford resident Maria Castello.
Proceeds from the event will benefit La Voz Latinas youth and scholarship programs.
Tickets for the event are $60 for a single, $120 per couple, and $750 for a table of eight.
