Labor Day Tree Give-Away at parade

Carpenters Local 792 announced the Labor Day Tree Give-Away during the Labor Day parade. Carpenters Local 792 will be handing out more than 800 trees to those who come to watch the parade!

Varieties include: red oak, red pine, white pine, Colorado blue spruce, Norway spruce, river birch and red bud. These are potted trees that will range from 1 to 3 feet tall.

This Labor Day Tree Give-Away was started the year of the storm in 2003 that devastated so many of the area’s beautiful trees. In an effort to put the “forest” back in the Forest City, Carpenters Local 792 would like to continue handing out these trees on Labor Day, and start a new Labor Day tradition.

Plan to attend this year’s Labor Day parade and pick up a tree. Of course, there will still be lots of candy!
