Land management public workshop June 12

Winnebago County Board Chairman Scott Christiansen (R) has announced a public meeting to give an overview of the 2030 Land Resource Management Plan’s “Goals, Objectives and Policies.” The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, at the Memorial Hall Auditorium, 211 N. Main St., Rockford.

The county’s land-use planning consultant, Camiros, Ltd., will give a presentation about the “Goals, Objectives and Policies Memorandum,” which will provide an overview of the broad goals and specific policies incorporated into the 2030 Land Resource Management Plan. These “Goals, Objectives and Policies” will give direction to the remainder of the planning process, including the drafting of the Unified Development Ordinance.

Representatives from Camiros and Nicolosi & Associates will be available to answer questions and take comments regarding the planning and zoning process. Camiros will also introduce the Existing Land-Use Map and invites the public to address their comments about that document.

Following this presentation, Nicolosi & Associates will provide a status update for Unified Development Ordinance and address your questions and comments.
