If you have written a poem, listen up! The New York Poetry Alliance is sponsoring its last poetry contest of the year, open free to everyone. You could win one of 50 prizes totaling almost $5,000, with a $1,000 cash prize going to the winner.

“We award $50,000 in prizes annually,” says Contest Director Dr. John Cusack. “This is our biggest prize-money contest to date, and we expect to discover exciting new poets as a result.”
