License to support youth programs at park district

By

For years, park districts in Illinois have provided vital youth programs. These programs keep parks across the state filled with young people playing soccer, baseball and basketball after school and on the weekends. The park district recreation programs offer classes in the arts, dance, gymnastics, music and science.

Park District Youth License Plates help fund these recreational programs throughout the state and keep them operating. By applying for a Park District Youth License Plate, you are investing in the youth of Illinois. After all, our youth are the future. Park District plates may be displayed on passenger cars and on trucks and vans weighing less than 8,000 pounds. Each set of plates will generate $25 for park district youth programming throughout the state. Park District Youth Plates are available at all Secretary of State Driver’s License facilities.

For information, call the Illinois Association of Park Districts: 1-877-523-4558 or the Secretary of State: 1-877-252-8980 or 217-785-5215. Information and request forms are also available at: www.ILParks.org.
