Lifescape announces caregiver training

“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” training will start Jan. 9, 2007, and continue on consecutive Tuesdays, wrapping up Feb. 13, 2007.

Brought to you by Lifescape Community Services, this program will help family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate their feelings, balance their life, increase ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources.

Classes consist of 2-1/2-hour sessions held once a week over a six-week span. Two experienced class leaders will conduct each session. Interactive lessons, discussions and brainstorming will help you take the “tools” you choose and put them into action for your life.

Classes will be held at Lifescape Community Services, 705 Kilburn Ave., Rockford. Sessions are every Tuesday from 5 to 7:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 9. There is no charge to attend, and respite care is also available.

For more information or to register, call Lifescape Community Services at 963-1609.
