Lifescape Community Services Senior Follies May 16

Looking for a unique Mother’s Day gift for the woman who has everything? Take her to Lifescape Community Services’ Senior Follies Best of Broadway. The show is jam-packed with amazing dance numbers and spellbinding songs that promises to be fun for the whole family.

Best of Broadway is a musical revue of songs, and the cast will act out many of them as mini-productions. Give your regards to Broadway and pick a moment—Miss Levi descending a staircase and looking for an empty lap in Hello, Dolly!; the brass band parading through River City, Iowa in The Music Man; the cast gathered around the famous surrey with the fringe on top; sailors proclaiming that “There’s Nothin’ Like a Dame” and a gal “Washin’ That Man Right Out of (Her) Hair.”

Remember the chimney sweeps from Mary Poppins and the orphans in Annie? All these and much more will be in the show directed by Angie Fellows, who has directed the annual revue since 2003. Bob Presman, financial adviser with Smith Barney, will emcee. Best of Broadway will be held at the Coronado Theatre with two performances May 16 at 2 and 7 p.m. This will be the best gift you can give your mother for Mother’s Day!
