Minor league basketball team opens its 20th season in Rockford Nov. 20
Individual tickets for all Rockford Lightning home games are on sale for the 2005-06 CBA season. This season marks the 20th anniversary season in the Rockford community, continuing the Lightnings stance as the longest-tenured minor league basketball team in North America.
Sunday, Nov. 20, the Lightning open their home season against the Gary Steelheads at 7:05 p.m. at the MetroCentre. A magnet schedule giveaway and a halftime performance by the Jesse White Tumblers are planned for opening night. Great seats are still available for this and all home games this season. Individual game tickets can be purchased for $5, $10, $12.50 and $15 through the MetroCentre Box Office by calling 968-5222 or online at www.centreevents.com. All tickets are subject to facility and handling fees.
Changes have been made both on and off the court this off-season to bring more excitement to the Lightning fans.
Fresh faces, fresh entertainment, its our 20th anniversary season, you never know whats going to happen, said Lightning General Manager Michael Neville.
Lightning season tickets are still available through the Lightning offices. Ticket packages start as low as $74.75 and can be purchased in full-, half-, and seven-game packages. Packages can be purchased and any further information can be obtained by calling the Rockford Lightning front office at 874-4232 or by visiting the team Web site at www.rockfordlightning.com.
