Lightning waives Ronnie Fields

The Rockford Lightning on March 16 waived guard Ronnie Fields, the franchise’s all-time career scoring and steals leader.

Fields, who missed the final month of the regular season with a damaged rotator cuff and torn labrum in his right shoulder, averaged 17.7 points and had 54 steals in 25 games this season.

He scored 461 points to push his career record in a Lightning uniform to 4,261 points in regular-season games. He also had 214 points in playoff games. His career steals mark for the Lightning stands at 326.
