Four local physicians recently published Family Medicine Certification Review, second edition. From the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford Martin Lipsky, M.D., regional dean, Mitchell King, M.D., associate professor of family medicine and associate dean for academic affairs, Robert W. Bales, M.D., MPH, assistant clinical professor and physician at the University Primary Care Clinic at Mt. Morris, and Matthew Hunsaker, M.D., from the National Center for Rural Health Professions worked with Jeffrey Susman, M.D., director of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio, to write the book.
The updated text provides questions and answers to assist candidates in reviewing for the American Board of Family Medicine certification and recertification exams. Included in the book are tables, charts, questions/answers and clinical problems.
The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford is at 1601 Parkview Ave. and has served the area since 1971 as a regional academic health science center.
