Dont get mad, but you might want to kick yourself if you miss this groups performance. Mad Agnes will be playing at 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 21 at Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, 415 N. Church St. Charlottes Web is pleased to host them.
This fast folk trio promises A refreshing adventure for those who enjoy well-sung and well-written acoustic music, said Rich Warren of Sing Out! magazine. The trio is composed of Margo Hennebach, Adrienne Jones and Mark Saunders. Mad Agnes isnt really mad at all, says Pete Fornatale (of WFUV in New York), unless mad also means smart, warm, insightful and humorous. Using rich, heart-rending three-part harmonies, seasoned musicianship, and clever songwriting, the genre-bending Mad Agnes delights, incites and heals. Their 2003 release, Magic Hour, achieved regular rotation on radio stations around the country.
Mad Agnes musical bond stretches across three bands, two solo careers, one and a half decades and a vast repertoire encompassing eight original releases.
