Med students to hold healthy Halloween party

Healthy Halloween treats and activities are planned for a party hosted by students at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. The party will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 29, at the student activity center on the campus of the medical school, 1601 Parkview Ave.

Students involved in the Family Practice Interest Group and the Pediatrics Interest Group are planning snacks specifically for diabetic children, but all children are encouraged to attend. Healthy snacks will be available for all children and diabetic-appropriate treats available for the diabetic children.

Costumes are encouraged, as there will be a costume parade and judging. Parents are encouraged to wear costumes as well. There is no admission fee for this event that promises to be a ghoulish good time.
