Mendelssohn hosts ‘Felix’s Cabaret’ April 14

From 7 to 10 p.m., April 14, Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will hold the second annual fund-raiser, “Felix’s Cabaret.”

Named after composer Felix Mendelssohn, it will be an evening filled with fun and entertainment.

Mendelssohn Performing Artists will serve as the wait staff and the entertainers for the evening. Guests can sit back, relax and enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Toni’s of Winnebago, along with cash wine bar and a silent auction in the spacious Rockford City Hall.

Guests will be entertained cabaret-style by the extraordinarily talented Performing Artists of Mendelssohn, including Jack Armstrong, Aaron Bolden, Jody Brubaker, Suzanne Crandall, Angie Fellows, Ron Foran, Lynn Hansel, Cathy Herdeman, Elizabeth LaGrande, Kathy Schwieger and Rita Weber.

The evening will also feature celebrity guest performances by Rockford Ald. Doug Mark (R-3) and Burpee Museum of Natural History Executive Director Lewis Crampton.
