April 8 event is Mendelssohns first Felixs Cabaret fund-raiser
At 7 p.m., Saturday, April 8, Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) will hold its first Felixs Cabaret fund-raiser, named after composer Felix Mendelssohn.
Mendelssohn Performing Artists will serve as wait staff and entertainers. Guests can sit back, relax and enjoy hors d oeuvres by Tonys of Winnebago along with a cash bar and a silent auction in the newly remodeled Rockford Bank & Trust Building, 127 N. Wyman St. Cost is $50 per person, and proceeds will benefit the MPAC.
Guests will be entertained cabaret-style by the extraordinarily talented Performing Artists of Mendelssohn, including Jack Armstrong, Aaron Bolden, Jody Brubaker, Suzanne Crandall, Angie Fellows, Ron Foran, Lynn Hansel, Cathy Herdeman, Elizabeth LaGrande, Lois Peterson, Kathy Schwieger and Rita Weber.
The evening will also feature celebrity guest performances by Ald. Doug Mark (R-3) and Burpee Museum of Natural History Executive Director Lewis Crampton.
