Middle/High School gifted testing April 27
An additional round of testing for the secondary level of the Rockford Public Schools Centralized Gifted Program is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 27, at Auburn High School, 5110 Auburn St. The testing session is designed for students currently in grades 5-11 who missed the Dec. 1, 2001 testing. An appointment time must be scheduled and parent consent given for testing.
The Rockford Public Schools Centralized Gifted Program is appropriate for students who demonstrate an outstanding ability to profit from a rigorous, differentiated academic curriculum. The middle school program is currently housed at West Middle School. The high school program is at Auburn High School.
The gifted program is staffed by teachers with advanced course work in education of the gifted child and is an approved program by the Illinois State Board of Education for academically talented students.
