Described as the premier event of its kind by The Las Vegas Sun, the Mrs. United States Pageant is a spectacular event. Since 1986, the Mrs. United States Pageant has assembled annually in Las Vegas, Nev. to celebrate the achievements of married women throughout the 50 states and U.S. territories. Mrs. United States is no ordinary beauty pageant—it is extraordinary. Organizers believe that married women should be recognized for their ability to integrate intellect and beauty. The Mrs. United States Pageant contestant is confident, intelligent, successful and beautiful!

Mrs. United States offers a spectacular, exhilarating, memorable, and unique family-oriented event. It provides married women with a forum to promote self-esteem; compete for state and national titles; meet women with similar interests; and open doors to personal and financial opportunity. The pageant has earned a solid reputation for integrity and excellence. Mrs. United States Pageant is the largest pageant system available to married women.

Founded in 1986 by Isabella Ilacqua, the Mrs. United States Pageant system was created out of respect and admiration for married women of beauty and intelligence. Mrs. Ilacqua sought to provide a forum to publicly recognize and acknowledge the fact that married women often play many roles as wife, mother, homemaker and/or professional with a flair and resilience uncommonly found elsewhere.

The purpose of the Mrs. United States Pageant is to honor and pay tribute to the married woman. This pageant system is designed to recognize and reward, nationally, the intelligence, success, strength, beauty, and resilience of married women from every state and territory of the United States. The organizers believe that married women are an inspiration to families, friends, colleagues and community. They base this belief on their knowledge that the role of wife, mother and career woman does not prevent a married woman from finding time to become involved in community activities or from maintaining her health, beauty, and mind. The Mrs. United States Pageant contestant is an intelligent, married woman who knows what she wants in her career, family, and appearance. She maintains a strong sense of identity and embodies the true spirit of “complete woman . . . total beauty.”
