Naturally Rockford: Learn better eating habits at April 20 lecture

Do you know how to eat properly? Does healthy eating really help prevent diabetes, heart disease or cancer? Your doctor says to eat better to lose weight and get healthier. What do people mean when they say “eat more vegetables, fruits, less fats and less carbs”? Dr. Cathy Maculan at Maculan Chiropractic Clinic does not want you to be controlled by food. She wants you to take control and begin to improve your health without the need for expensive drugs.

April 20, Maculan Chiropractic is hosting a 60-minute presentation about making better eating habits easy. Guest speaker will be Jeanie Johnson, a certified nutritional consultant. She will make better eating easy and talk about the foods that are better for you and the foods to avoid or minimize. Topics include:

What you should be eating

Explanation of various diets;

How to eat out without trading healthy eating for good taste;

How to prepare vegetables quickly;

Where to find the best food.

Jeanie Johnson will give examples as well as answer your questions. This presentation is free and open to the public, 4 p.m. at Maculan Chiropractic Clinic, 403 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford. Space is limited. Call (815) 965-3212 to reserve your seat and get directions.
