Dr. Neal Barnards diabetes discussion at India House
Vegetarians in Motion (VIM) will hold its End of the Season Celebration Dinner at the India House Restaurant, 6430 E. Riverside, Rockford, Tuesday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. The low-fat vegan buffet will offer a variety of tasty foods, including an appetizer, three veggie dishes, bread, dessert and drinks. The cost is $20, which includes tax and gratuity. This event is open to the public.

In addition, Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m., VIM has invited Dr. Neal Barnard, president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) to speak about Reversing Diabetes. He will speak at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, 1601 Parkview Ave., Rockford, IL 61107. Dr. Barnard will share findings from his latest research showing a low-fat vegan diet can help many patients cut their blood sugars, improve their insulin sensitivity, and reduce, if not eliminate, their medications. Admission is free, and reservations are not needed for this presentation.
