Neighborhood Tool Bank reopens


‘Comprehensive Community Solutions, Inc. proudly announces the reopening of the Neighborhood Tool Bank on April 8. Located at 310 S. Avon St. in the Lower Level, the Tool Bank loans out a variety of gardening tools and supplies free of charge.

The Neighborhood Tool Bank is a community service that provides needed tools for gardening and cleanup projects for residents, neighborhood groups and organizations. It is intended to provide resources for environmental and beautification efforts in our community in order to promote a true sense of neighborhood pride and empowerment. The Tool Bank is operated by CCS YouthBuild/AmeriCorps Program. AmeriCorps members are available to assist you in your cleanup efforts.

Tool Bank hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tools are loaned out for up to one week. For more information, call (815) 963-6236 (x228).
